This third collaboration between Seiko and internationally acclaimed animator, Studio Ghibli, celebrates “living in harmony with nature,” the message of the beloved movie, “Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.” Beautifully evoking the theme of this worldwide favorite, this unique limited edition is available only a controlled-production run of 1,500, with the serial number on each caseback. To express the movie quote “clothed in blue robes, descending on a golden field,” the see-through screwdown caseback is gold ion plated and printed with a scene suggesting coexistence with nature. In a special blue to match the color of Nausicaä’s dress, the enamel dial is also adorned with her unique symbol adornment. Another character, the giant insect Ohmu, is represented by a silhouette on the underside of the strap, with the blue cabochon crown recalling his eyes.
